    I just realized...

Snakes are so lazy and so chill. I've always thought of them as kind of badass, but after getting my first sweet baby BP and spending a few days observing her, I've come to the realization that she's even lazier than I am lol! All she wants to do is nap all day in her warm little nook

Well, a hiding ball python is a happy ball python, so I'd say you must be doing it right!

By the way, you are never allowed to post about a new snake without accompanying pictures, so we'll all be waiting to meet your little doll!

Huh. Maybe I've had the luck of meeting the high energy ones then.

We had a teach in high school that had two older ball pythons, one was "chill" unless you set him down, then he was off like a rocket and good luck catching up. The other one was just plain batty, it had it's internal heat seeking abilities set on overdrive or something. Always squirming and crawling up or down the kid's tops, and I was usually stuck on "Get it out!! Get it out!!" duty for teacher/student legal reasons. I can't remember the number of times I'd walk in to hear that one or both of them had escaped and later found trying to invade someone's pant leg/skirt/lunchbox. The corn snakes were much calmer out and about. I have no clue why.

(we also had escaping purple shore crabs finding their way down hallways and into the girl's bathroom, we followed the screams for those, a mass cricket release into the school as a senior prank, a whole swarm of them climbing the brickwork wall, again, more screaming.)

The young one I own is a bit of a handful when he gets it into his head to be difficult outside of the cage, but not as bad as those two in the class, I can usually predict when he's about to make a break for it.
