    Which rack to buy?

Okay, so I am looking into purchasing a new snake rack that will both keep my hatchlings and allow me to branch out into a new species or 2 (me wants a hognose ) I have pretty much decided that I'm going to get a 15-32 combo rack from animal plastics. Now, my dilemma. AP sells an 8 level economy rack for 355 shipped, or a 7 level solid sided rack for 365 shipped.

I'm still on the fence, but I think I'm leaning toward the 7 level, because I'm going to keep BP hatchlings in the 15 qts, so I want it dark. Also, I only need maybe 2 or 3 levels for hognose, Kenyan sand boas, etc, leaving me with 8 or 10 tubs for hatchlings (I think this will be enough, I only have one breeding girl, and she will be a first timer.) Still, it would be nice to get that extra level. Anyways, just wanted some input, thanks!

    Re: Which rack to buy?

I too am currently looking for a rack. Animal plastics is actually about a 10 minute drive from my house. The economy racks are designed for rooms that hold a warm temperature so if the room will dip or stays cooler the economy won't be the best choice. Also for ball pythons the added sides are great for making them feel a bit more secure if there's not a hide box and keep the temps and humidity much more stable. I just purchased some V70 tubs and plan on going a double wide 7 shelf or just making my own. I've been thinking on this one the last couple days and they gave me the same answer as a close friend.
