Without documentation, there is no way to know if they are something more than albino. Unless there is an obvious color clue (like vivid oranges which might indicate a sunglow (hypo x albino) or clean white which is a snow (albino x anery)), they are just an albino. Very pretty albinos, but still just an albino.

Hey Gale!! Why, yes, they DO come in albino! And MANY more too! Here's a brief list of some base morphs - http://www.blumenboas.com/boamorphs.htm but there are a LOT of morphs in Colombian boas - and can you imagine combining these genes?? Morphs in boas are turning out to be nearly as diverse as morphs in BPs!!
Boas do not necessarily get overly large. Several "mid-sized" choices are male BCIs, Hog Island, and Dumerils ground boas. If you're interested in an albino or other morph, then you'd want to stick with a BCI (Colombian red tail). The males will usually stay around 5-6 feet, maybe up to 7ft. The females are a bit larger and usually max out around 7-8ft at the most.
Boas are SO much more interactive than BPs! The difference is night and day. I thought my BPs were actually really personable and friendly, then I got my first boa and WOW what a change! They love to be held, will hang on my shoulders for as long as they are allowed to do so, and will eat anything you put in front of them. They are amazing snakes!!

Ok, I am charging you two with cruel and unusual punishment!
I've never seen any of these morphs. Here in the St. Louis area, all I see are the normal colored ones. There were probably morphs at Tinley Park when I went, but was BP obsessed and didn't pay much attention.
You know, my two biggest BP girls are right around 6', a BCI isn't that much bigger.......
Curse you both for getting into my head like this!
Ok, so they need much larger enclosures than a ball does, and they are much more finicky with husbandry issues, and they eat a lot more than a ball does, right ? And you better say yes because I will be in serious trouble if you say no.

No, they really aren't! At least the males aren't. The females do get a bit bigger, especially the "true" red tails (BCCs). But the males really do stay a very managable size.
Curse you both for getting into my head like this! Muaahahhaa!! That is my evil little plan - over take the world with boa converts!!

And you better say yes because I will be in serious trouble if you say no. And, well, yes, the enclosure is a bit larger than a ball would need. Although some folks do keep balls in a 4x2x1 so adding a bit more height isn't usually problematic. Most male BCIs live very comfortably in a 4x2x2. Husbandry is extremely easy - no harder than BPs and very much the same. And they do eat larger rats than a BP would, but adult boas usually should only be fed every 2-3 weeks so they eat less often than a BP. Does that get me into trouble????? Because I know you want one.....
Gale
And to add to the mix, here is my baby female Sunglow Arabesque, Pandora. She carries a pattern gene, Arabesque, which gives her that stripey look, and a Sunglow is both albino and hypomelanistic. She is a wee little worm at only 4 1/2 months old and weighing in currently at 131gm. By the way, I got her at Tinley Park in October! So, yes, there were some amazing boas there..... Enjoy!!

You guys are awful. Just awful. And I'm sorry for hijacking this thread, but I had no clue there were red tails that looked like this. I've always found just the normal ones beautiful, especially with the really deep red tail. And now all these colors and patterns and my mind is blown!
My biggest ball girls stay in big storage totes, roughly 3' X 18" X 12". So, in all seriousness I really wouldn't need that much bigger of an enclosure to house one. Do they grow fairly slowly like a ball, or ridiculously fast like a corn ? I guess what I am asking is, would a tub the size of the ones my female balls are in be sufficient for a couple of years while the little one grows, or is it going to need a full size enclosure by the time it's a year old ?
And of course, these morph BCI's are really, really expensive. I imagine yours was what, $2 or 3K ? Right ? No way can I afford one for a long time, right ? Please say yes they are expensive.
