As they came from petsco and not a breeder would avoid messing with the babies. Most of mine I can clean the cage at any time with no issues but I have had most of them for a few generations at this point. If the cage really needs cleaning you are usually ok cleaning all except the nest but if you can leave them for a 3 days that is the safest bet. The nest is usually the cleanest part of the cage and if your mom tries to move the babies when you open the cage I would even wait a 7-10 days if possible, USUALLY once the babies have fuzz most mom's are ok.
