Good affordable scale?
Where should I get a scale so I can start weighting him to know more of what I should be doing with his needs and knowledge on his growth progress? Also what kind?

This one has a 3,000g capacity, and is a great scale. You can get an AC adapter to go with it so you'll never need to use batteries. Mine works wonderfully!

I bought mine at Wal-Mart in the kitchen section... max weight 5000g, and I think it was about $20. Works for me!

I get mine on eBay. But yes you can always get one at Walmart, and have the people ringing you up think your a drug dealer.

I used this one for years. My only complaint is that the glass top can pop off easily and I ended up having to super glue it on. Also, there's not bowl to put the snake in (because none of them will sit on the platform) so I had to find my own.

^ This. I think I've only replaced the batteries once in 3 years, and I use it a half dozen times a week.

I haven't had any problems yet with the glass top popping off (I have been weighing my 3000+g girls on it) but that's good to know! Also, I just grabbed a large plastic container from in my kitchen (like tupperware or ziploc) to put the snakes in It tares easily with the bowl on the scale. If this one ever starts giving me problems, I think I'll 'upgrade' to the one from Reptile Basics... but for now, this one works
