Any tips on taking photos of a super active BP?

My BP Louis is a beautiful snake; i would love to take some pictures of him but i cannot get enough time to get him focused at all because he is super active! He is such a sweetheart but he rarely sits still.. any tips?

Ahaha, I wish you luck. Some of them are just turds to photograph. For every one good picture you get, you may have 20 bad. Boas are even worse. . Mine wouldn't hold still the other night either. None of them. Pretty little baby you got though.

I have a few that are like that. If the snake is curled up inside the hide I will take it out, place it in my light tent and take pictures as quickly as I can. I prepare the camera before I even look at the snake, and if the snake is out of the hide messing around I don't even bother to try taking pictures.

If you use a flash and increase your shutter speed... that should help capture moments when he moves fast.

Take pics a few hours after you feed..... they're lazy with a full belly.

Use a hide. Let the snake go in and settle for a minute. Then pull the hide off and snap away. You can usually get a few good pics before it's off to the races again...
