How long does it take once first egg comes out?

How long does it take on average once she lays her first egg until she is finished?

First egg came out about 20 min ago while I was checking on her. I don't want to disturb her any more than necessary, so how do I know when she is done? She's about 3200g.

Also any tips on removing her eggs without hurting her or the eggs are welcome. This is my first clutch.

Laying time can take several hours. Just peek in on her each hour or so, gently. Here's pretty helpful video for removing her. If you don't feel like getting bitten, use the distraction trick, by waving your hand in her face while picking her up with the other. Or use a tub lid or something to block her head from you while you pick her up. Congratulations! What was the pairing?

Thanks for the link and info. She is aggressive like that and I don't blame her.

She is a gravid Volta import.

When I've caught them right at the start it takes 1-2 hours. Of course it could go quicker or take longer depending on her and how many eggs she has.

Re: How long does it take once first egg comes out?

I saw the first egg around 9pm and she was still laying at 2am so I went to bed!

    5 good eggs, six slugs.

She was striking at everything so I only checked her at 12am and 2am. When I checked her at 9am, she was coiled so well over them you couldn't see any white and she was not agressive at all. She is a sweetheart!
