Hope they are better guard dogs than my dad's dog!
Recently my dad's house was broken into. His dog lives in the house. The burglars came through the kitchen window, and put the dog in the garage so they could do their thing uninterrupted (thankfully didn't hurt the dog!). Stole a laptop, part of a coin collection, and some handheld games.
Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

isnt there this old saying among people like pathologists and doctors: Its not dead until it is warm and dead?
thats the take-away message from this sad story with a good ending... its not dead until it is warm and dead. and it first referred to humans, but i guess for reptiles and amphibians its especially true.

As friendly as my dogs are with my family and even people we meet on walks they are absolutely insanely vicious with any stranger that comes in the house without me or my brother present. I found this out when some sales person decided it was ok to walk in through the front door to see if i was interested in buying cleaning products

Since nobody was hurt and nobody wad home when it happened it isnt a priority fir them. I live on the south side of Chicago. Anybody who knows about murder rates knows what i mean im just glad the snakes are alive. Im going to keep an eye on them to make sure they dont develop any issues.
I didnt realize that you live in chicago.im very familiar with Chicago, I live in Aurora Il and work in the city sometimes. Im so glad to hear your babies are coming around. Ill pray that they make a full recovery. Keep us posted on their health and im pretty close if there is anything I can do to help let me know.
