He's probably full, if it was adult, but the feeding response doesn't calm down immediately once it's kicked in. All the snakes I've had have sometimes approached the food from the side or tail, despite my comments like, "No! The head is the other way!" :wink: He'll be fine, and it's great that he kept trying until he got it down, especially since it was F/T. It sounds like you have a good feeder on your hands. You might want to bump up to rat pups early.
