    butter ball

Well its been a while since iv been here but im back with another question. I think now that i have my own house i can start expanding my snake collection and iv.came across a butter ball. Its a male about a year old i believe. I can post pics and.how much it weighs later. Im just curious how much hes worth? He looks very colorful atleast to me. I want.to start breeding but i dont even know what you can mix with a butter and what you can produce. I live in cleveland and we have a reptileshow every month so snakes seam cheaper here then normal for.example a bumble bee is about 450$ and a pied ball is about 800 to 850. Thanks chris

Not sure where you have been looking but that is not much cheaper unless they are absolutely the best ever possible examples. As far as your question it would really depend on the quality of the animal so pics would help.

You're lucky to have reptile shows so often. I get maybe 6 per year down here in TX. And prices are average. In fact most bumblebees down here are 400$ and pieds are 700-900$

I've seen male bees go for $250 these days. Females for more.
And male pieds range from $500-800.
And these are non show price.

I say your male butter is worth $150. ($200 at the very highest)

Where are you seeing these prices at? The prices i see at the reptile show are way cheaper then i see em sell fornonline if i could find a bee for 250 right now id buy it. Butters are worth more then pastels right? Pastels usually sell for around 150 i thought. Anyone else want to chime in? Oh that butter weighs 228 grams

Holy smokes - where are you finding balls at those prices?!? I haven't ever seen a pied for less than $600 unless it was a NO white pied male and even that was $550. I wanna move to where you live..........

Male butters / lessers are going for an average of 200-250. I would say 160 is an extremely good price and that male is goreous - a beautiful example of the morph. I am very picky when it comes to butters as they are my favorite morph and I would pay 160 for that animal. Incidentally, why are you "trying to build up your collection" with no real goal in mind - or do you have a goal? I don't mean any offense - just curious!
