Tips on getting young males to lock up?

This is our first season and we have been getting our 2 bigger males (1000+ gram bumble bee and butter) to lock with 4 different girls non stop. It's their first season.

We have a ~700 gram pied and yb that we are trying to throw in to the mix starting today with some other girls. Neither has locked yet and it's only been like 24 hours but in case they don't what are some tips to get them to go for it.

The pied is just hanging out in the opposite corner and the yb is laying on top but the tails aren't really close. The females are also pretty big compared to them.

I've heard of misting them, waiting for a cold front, and putting shed from another male to get them in the mood. Or could it be that they are just too small and inexperienced?

Just kind of anxious and hoping to see them lock up. After 3 days and no observed lock, how long until I reintroduce.

Try these things if you don't see a lock. Or maybe they're still too young.

You can't rush them, it doesn't work that way lol. You could do 3 days in/ 4days out. I do that like every other week usually.

I've heard that playing romantic music, lighting candles and dimming the lights might work... Rose petals couldn't hurt, either.

Usually the males will lock up before it's too late. Just having a male present will usually get the girl to start building. Last year I had a male Mojave paired with a female normal on and off for the whole season. I didn't see one lock. The follicles were getting uncomfortably large so I paired my backup male (a pastel) with her just once. He locked and within three weeks she ovulated. The end result was 4 pastels and 3 normals. So, I say, don't sweat it for now, but if you're still having problems once the follicles are >25mm or so, pair with your backup.
