    Could you be specific about your temps and how you measure them?

    Some ball pythons like to bury. I use newspaper but I still have a female that insists on sitting underneath her paper.

    I use a digital temp and humidity reader that hangs inside the tank. I keep an ambient temp of around 82-85 and a warm spot of around 95. The humidity reads right now at 55%. This setup has been like this for 6 years.

    At first I thought his hides were too small but they are definitely the right size.

    Then he may just like to bury. My female normal will lay under the paper below her hide even though she'll sit in the same hide on the other side of her tub. Sometimes they want that in between temp. I'm sure it's fine and you shouldn't worry.
