I have 2 juveniles, and am loving them. Been wanting them for awhile, and finally took advantage of an opportunity when a coworker was given a pregnant snake. They were born last September. So far they've been extremely docile, easy to keep, but at the same time very good feeders. They seem to think it's feeding time every time I open their cage, BUT when I pull them out for handling they are as calm as ever. They are native to my area, so keeping their environment just right isn't too hard for me. My house is naturally 30-40% humidity, which seems to be keeping them comfortable. Their temperature gradient is about 90 on the hot side and 75 on the low side, with a small hot spot of around 100. They seem to enjoy this, finding whatever temperature they need at the moment (warmer after feeding, cooler before feeding, in general) and just hanging out. If they were brumating they would need cooler temperatures, but this being their first year I have read it is best not to let them brumate.
