    Pics of my first BP

This is Varro, my new baby BP, not sure if it's male or female yet, I'll get "him" sexed eventually. I'm in love with him already, he's great when handled, a little head shy but I've heard that a lot of them are.
He has already eaten 3 times for me, although he won't strike the mouse, I have to leave it in there, leave the room, and then he'll take it. Shy eater I suppose.

    I only feed frozen thawed.

I don't mind if he doesn't like me touching his head, it's understandable, I wouldn't want someone sticking their hand in my face.

Welcome to the sport. Nice snake. Sometimes they start off head shy but after enough handling they feel more comfortable with you and they dont freak out anymore. I have 2 snakes that i can pet on the head at any time and they never even flinch.

He's fine if I go under his head, like I can put my finger under his chin and lift his head, but he flinches if I go in from the side or the top.

It's always interesting to see what the personality turns out to be, he seems really sweet so far.
