DIY incubator - how much heat tape?
I recently got a wine fridge that is 34"x24"x24". I'm planning on running 11" heat tape down the back. How much heat tape do you think I should use? I've looked at different builds online and they all differ a bit plus the incubators have different dimensions than mine. I was leaning towards using 2 feet, but wasn't sure if that would be too much. Thanks!

As long as you are using a good t-stat then you really cant use too much
I would run the full back from bottom to top.

I agree, all i use is incubators I have built myself, and the heat tape runs from top to bottom on both. I use proportional thermostats only never do trust the on/off ones for my eggs.
Mini monitors, other select herps, and aquatics.

Thanks for the replies! I was considering 1ft but leaning towards 2ft. I'm definitely going to go with the 2 feet of tape then. Thanks for the link. I was planning on picking up my tape from RBI at next week's White Plains show. I'll give their new heat tape a try.
