Absolutely. And the disparity between the murder rate versus the violent crime rate as compiled by the FBI in their UCR data. Medical technology saves a lot of people who previously would have been in the morgue. That gives the appearance of the murder rate being lower and technically it is but when compared to the violent assault rates, there is a noticeable gap.
