I think the point of it being big news is that (at least in England) this is the first captive bred clutch they have. They are working on large conservation efforts in the hopes that they will not be wiped out totally in the wild.
they are most commonly found as wild caught which has a very detrimental effect on their native ecosystem.
But I know you can find them pretty easily here in the states.
I am just glad they were succesful in their first sucsession of their program.
