Slight popping...
Just noticed a slight popping noise in my hogs breathing. I can only hear it if I literally put her nose in my ear. Possible RI signs?? What can I do to help with these symptoms?

Honestly, my skin is kind of dry, and the scales tend to make a sound on my fingers, maybe that's what it was?

Someone on here said their snake does that just before shedding. Any signs of an upcoming shed?

She is kind if dull, but she hasn't shown any other signs at all....making me worried. But if it is an RI coming, how would I stop it?

Hard to stop it. When I bought a gtp that turned out to have ri the vet had me turn the cage temp up a bit, keep the humidity correct, and give the antibiotic injection he prescribed.
Any other signs? Mucus in around nostrils. Yawning/coughing, saliva stands extending from the lower jaw to the top when it yawns.
Is it due for a shed?

I guess she is due for another shed, and no there are no other signs at all, nothing. Only the sound in the breathing and I can't really even here it unless her nose is stuck in my ear canal lol

Could she just be nervous because you are trying to stuff her face in your ear?

I had heard my female BP "whistle" a few times and got concerned. She had shed just a couple of weeks prior so I doubted that was it unless she had a tiny piece stuck shed up inside a nostril. But I couldn't see anything there either (and I looked - hard). So I bumped her ambient temps up by 2-4 degrees (left the hotspot alone at 90). A week later, I couldn't detect any further signs at all.
So I don't know if I was just lucky and she was able to fight off a pending RI, or if it wasn't an RI in the first place. But I do know that she never did develop an RI and she's been perfectly healthy ever since (that took place about 2 years ago).
Bumping up the ambient temps for a week shouldn't hurt anything at all and may just help! Hope yours turns out to be nothing too!!!

Well, to be on the safe side I am gonna go ahead and bump the room temp up from 80ish to around 83-84 and see if it helps. I live and florida and the weather has changed a lot here over the winter, its been a weird year!!
