Especially in a doctors office. It could be very hard to distinguish what is simple medical checking and "is this guy getting off on this".
    x2

I can easily understand why she can't explain if it was rape or not. It's a DOCTOR! You're supposed to be able to trust them and feel comfortable with them.

It's easy not to know if that lingering touch, or the perverted stares are your imagination or if your doctor is taking too much pleasure over something he/she shouldnt.

A lot of people who have been sexually assaulted from doctors don't know what to call it.

I don't know if I'm expressing myself the way I want to :/

This is unlikely in the first place, since when it is clinical it is in no way sexual, much the same as breastfeeding is totally non-sexual.
If there were acts of in appropriate touching (something concrete) or even proposals of dates etc, then you have something concrete and an abuse of position ( which leads to these being punishable offenses).
I get your going to continue to argue your point, I'm hoping for your sake that's all your doing and you don't actually believe the half-witted bs your typing. But your so far from factually and morally correct on this thread.

Not to detract from the seriousness of the discussion, but if I was a woman I don't think I'd ever be comfortable at a gynecologist. Either is think the guy IS getting off on it, or with my luck it'd be the hard core hasntgotany lesbian and it'd be just as if not more worried.

It takes a special person to be a woman, that's for sure.

a little off subject, but for all you women who have been taken advantage of and are now hesitant towards all men, i pray you one day find that man who changes your outlook on us and makes you feel safe, as we should.

Straw men arguments are the last refuge in a lost debate.

    Ignore this person.

It has no point and I wonder about its motives as the sign up date is remarkably 'fresh'.

It's very possible for a grown adult to not know whether what happened to them was "sexual assault" or not. Just like my example of "It was a party and I didn't want to, but he pulled me into a bedroom" doesn't always make a person think of rape... even though it is. Especially for a man, who might think "Well I had sex, so I should just be glad I got laid" even if he DIDN'T want to have sex and was forced into it somehow.

In a medical setting, a doctor can do plenty that might seem like borderline assault or legitimate. Or someone in a setting like a dental chair gets groped, did they get groped or did the dentist just "brush" them repeatedly? What about someone who is a professional, in a professional setting that grabs inappropriately repeatedly, but keeps acting like he did nothing wrong and doesn't understand your protests? Since they are the DOCTOR(or boss, or whatever status they have), you begin to second guess whether YOU are being unreasonable.

In any setting, I do not think "leering" qualifies as assault. Sorry, but for me personally, I'm not going to say someone assaulted me just because they gave me dirty looks, doctor, bar or street. This is of course MY opinion, with MY body on the line.

And last time I got a mamogram, my doctor and the techs were almost overly careful about not touching or seeing anything they did not NEED to for the exam. It amused me, because honestly at one point, the doctor was going to leave the room just so I could adjust my paper gown and I blurted out "Really? You're a boob doctor, I'm sure you've seen better than mine... I'm not worried." I was impressed with how sensitive they were, it just amused me because I'm not very body shy.
