    • Herpstats have more capabilities (can control humidifiers/misters, lighting, multiple heating modes)
    • Have their night drop feature built in (instead of needing a separate module that costs $25)
    • Are safer (Herpstats have software and hardware failsafes that make them the safest thermostat on the market)
    • Herpstats use a better type of proportional control (dimming vs pulse)


    The VE-Line of thermostats aren't bad thermostats, but they leave out a lot of functionality/safety for only being $25 cheaper (VE-200 vs Herpstat 1)
