First time shipping heat pack or no?

Ok thanks, I planned on using a heat pack but when i read that the heat pack surface can get up to 110 degrees I just wanted to make sure he wouldn't get too hot. I also read somewhere on a different website of someone with similar temps and some people said it was ok without a heat pack but i was very doubtful. I'm shipping in a box labeled perishable with 3/4 insulation. I was going to poke a hole on each side and crumble up some newspaper to fill the extra space inside. Anything else I should know or change before shipping?

There are various Federal laws and regulations you need to make sure you're in compliance with before you ship your animal. Not trying to talk down to you or sound like your parent but your actions can effect everyone in this hobby/industry so please make sure you're in compliance with the law while you're shipping. Ignorance of the law isn't a defensible explanation if you're charged and/or fined for improper shipping of an animal; not saying that from me personally, just stating what would be relayed to you if it arises to the level of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service becoming involved.
