Few hygrometers are accurate until you look at wet bulb types that are fragile and not useful for reptiles. The best can be calibrated and should be every 6-12 months. Digital units should be kept in a dust free environment as they are prone to reading incorrectly when dirty.

I personally use spring types that have both a metal face card and calibration screw. Analogue ones used with humidors
