I honestly think he had no interest in husbandry when he started the thread. This was started to single out Wilomn and try to embarrass him or something. The tone of the op went from aggressive to defensive. I think the husbandry thing is just a front and excuse.........

Don't know how I missed all the fun. I shared a lot of "thanks" and will now respond as well as "I" do

Also how is anyone supposed to become more experienced in these other ways of husbandry if no one gives their advice on it rather then spitting out what the last guy said?

I may just be a newb but I can't progress past newb with out more advanced advice. I would hate to try something new and outside the box that hurts my snake

Most people are going to give a "safe" answer to avoid feeling guilty IF you kill your animal
I will use an RI as an example, Everyone here will tell you to get to the vet ASAP. Will I run mine to a vet, depends on the situation and severity but more than likely I wont. (Knock on wood that I have only lost one animal that the original breeder never could get to eat and when I got him he was less than 30g)

My questions have been stated.. What are his personal husbandry practices?

Again, what I do and works in my house I might not recommend on a public forum for several reasons.

So what you are saying is, because he is new, we should refuse to answer his questions about advanced husbandry.

I kind of feel the same way. I know everyone here is great and wants to help but a lot of breeders are not open about everything. I guess its because we all have done things that other might look down on?

You have to remember we are READING this without knowing any of your true expressions. There are many time people think I'm being a smart southern end of a north bound donkey but if you get under my skin you will know.

People should remember you learn by listening, not by talking. You want to learn about reptile husbandry, read some threads and you can figure out who knows what they are talking about without making a single post.

Again you need to learn to walk before you start learning to run.

And when you want to learn something you do not do so by antagonising someone either.

I think providing advance husbandry advice to someone that started less than a month is not gonna help.

I for one just happen to love Wes! Many moons ago I posted a thread about regretting something I had done in my past and he talked me through it. Wes is so full of wisdom and I love reading his witty posts. The man has a way with words that I have not ever come across before. You can be damn sure I will take his word over some newb anyday on the care and keeping of ball pythons. He is honest and blunt. I like and respect him for that.
