    Who's Got The Largest Carpet?

I just got done measuring my female coastal today and it got me wondering how big other peoples carpets are and if anyone has some real monsters out there.

My girl is about four and was grown slowly by her breeder like the rest of his snakes and was around 4 1/5 feet when I got her and weighed 700gs. Today I measured her at 5'3" and 1700g. I know shes behind on a lot of coastals her age but I think thats some pretty good growth for less than a year. Its interesting to see how quickly a snake that was fed every other week to once a month in the winter can up their growth once they are given food on a more regular basis.

Now I know in the wild coastals have been know to get up to 13ft, which is the record I think, but I was curious how big other peoples snakes are and what a good average to expect from my girl. I'd be happy to hear about other monster Morelia too if you have them as I enjoy the entire genus.

    Who's Got The Largest Carpet?

I have one Coastal female that is a little over a year old, she is 5.5' already.

My next two big girls were a rescue type. Not sure of the bloodline or age.

She is over 6' but thinner

Here she is with my 5'+ male

    This girl is just heavy.

    Who's Got The Largest Carpet?

I can't remember her hatch date.

Here she is about a year ago.

I'm hoping she will be a monster. I don't "power feed" I do feed once a week, but her meal doesn't even leave a lump.

    I love Carpets

Re: Who's Got The Largest Carpet?

Last time I measured she was 7.5' she's probably about 8' now. I got her about 4 years ago as a rescue, if what the previous owners told me was correct that would make her ~13 years old.

Bad pics but shows her length

only pic where she's not in shed.

Back in 2010 when I bought her

Looks about the size my bredli currently is, I cannot wait for to put some size on, shes already quite long. But over 5 ft in a year sounds good to me!
