    I would recommend changing your substrate, you don't want him eating any of the wood chips

    I'm not worried I watch her feed and she eats live so the wood doesn't worry me.. The mouse went in the water and had a peice stuck on it I was able to pull that out right after she finished and another while she was eating.

    Feeding live would heighten the risk? She's going to be striking at the substrate, thus increasing the chance of eating chips. I'm going to agree with Gorilla, pick up a bag of Aspen shavings for her. It's like 4 bucks at walmart.
