I wonder if the world were to end tomorrow and Lord said you can take any pair of Snakes onto the Dooms day Ark what would you take? Well in this Scenario let's say we are talking any kind of Ball Python you could think of including any combination of the Adam & Eve pair Imaginable? Think hard as all other Ball python morph's would die out in the so called Dooms day plague? This Adam and Eve pair would mark a rebirth of sort's to mankind. I think if you use your imagination this could be a really cool thread to follow.

Id take 1.1 pinstripe and 1.1 lessers
and 1.1 of those uber rare (?) sunset morphs I've only seen 1 example of...

I think I would second the normals, or more specificially Sub Saharan normals since their size could help the survivalibity & reproduction of the species.

Also since all morphs are just 'mutations' from the normal genes you probably don't need an actual morph to be the foundation to get morphs again.

Sure it will probably take a millenia for the mutations to spontaneosuly pop out after a few thousand generations being born ,but that sounds like the safest way to reestablish and have morphs back in the long run.

Besides starting a species using already mutated genes would probably make them less likely to survive.Whether due to overly bright color/pattern attracting predators to themselves or the repeated breeding of the same already mutated gene causing hatchlings to not thrive or survive for long.

I would go with a Sub Saharan Normal Female and a YB Male. The female would give you larger clutches so a faster repopulation. The YB would throw the morph and normals so there would be a chance for variations in both. Last is you could produce a third visual instance of the animal with an Ivory. This is strictly from a selfish position where after the floods, humans would still be keepers of pythons. If we are just talking about them living as natural & wild animals again, then 1.1 Normals Sub Saharan, as the Ivories would be extremely vulnerable to predation.

i would take 1.1 retics. something about envisioning myself walking around in a post-apocolyptic world with two giant snakes on a leash seems so badass.
