If ghosts were real, why do they only come out at night, or in the dark?
They must be sleeping during the day then, right?
Haunted "places" are not scary during the day.
The reason people think they see or hear ghosts is because in the dark we have a natural fear of the unknown.
You hear noises and don't understand where they come from - must be a ghost.
You see something out of the corner of your eye - must be a ghost.
You see a dark shadow - must be a ghost.
It's the same reason Man created god - fear of the unknown.

Some spend some time in my house. doesn't matter night or day. It's scarier in the day time cause that's the time you're supposed to not be hearing things. Nothing like hearing doors slam at 10:30 in the am or hearing talking in the back of the house.

Do you believe in Ghosts?
My house was built in 1901.
I have heard and seen things, my pets have heard and seen things, anyone that has spent any amount of time thee has heard and seen things. Day or night, doesn't matter.
Is it "ghost" I have no idea.
Telling people what you have seen or heard is like telling people your dreams. It just doesn't come across the same.
Things have moved, lights on and off, voices, whistles, loud slams, doorbells, things have fell or moved it ways i cant explain, TVs and DVD players off and on, my dog has chased down things that were not there. It might not be a "ghost" as we know it but I do think its an energy.

If you read my post you would have seen that it occurred about 1:00 in the afternoon in broad daylight. It was in a well lit building that had daylight streaming though the windows and lights ion in the darker rooms, with 30+ people running around. Nothing scary or dark, just wierd.

I guess it depends on what you consider a "ghost"
I have seen a full body apparition, I was watching a movie with my family when I saw something move out of the corner of my eye. I looked over to the hallway and saw a figure (it was almost like it was made of white and red fog but in the shape of a person) walk into the kitchen.
Another time in the same house I was the only one awake and was laying on the couch with my sleeping sister and my dog. Only one light was on and the t.v. was off. I started hearing things getting moved on the counter in the kitchen. Then I heard a voice, it was super creepy because it sounded like a 3-5 year old girl and she said "Momma, what time is it?" My dog instantly looked at the kitchen, got up and walked calmly in. And as soon as she did all the noise stopped.
Then there have been little things, the feeling that there is something there, doors opening and closing when I was home alone. And other family has had things happen or seen/heard things in the house they can't explain.
My cousins house a few doors down is also believed to be haunted. Figures walking across the yard on the security camera but no one is out there, old music playing at odd times, and the ghost that will tickle your feet if you lay with them dangling off the bed.
So do I believe in ghosts? Yes.

OK I'll bite since you guys have brought this thing back to life.
If you define ghost as the spirit of a dead person hanging around the living world, I do not believe in ghosts.
As a Christian, I believe when you die, you go straight to where you chose to go. There is no limbo or purgatory or any kind of waiting spot. However, this doesn't mean what people are seeing as "ghosts" aren't real. I think these are one of two things.
1) What paranormal folks call a "Residual Haunt." Basically, you see something that has already happened being played out before you.
2) Demons taking on the form of "ghost" or other entity. Demons are quite powerful and it's their job to persuade/prevent as many people as possible from following God. So pretending to be something that God says doesn't exist would play right into that agenda.
That's my 2 cents on it.
