The iPet Companion site lets you log in from anywhere (unless you are one of those Apple users), choose a participating animal shelter, and play with the shelter kitties! What a great way to waste time at work!You can use the controls to remotely move and jiggle the cat toys, and watch through a webcam. There are about 12 shelters participating already, with more planned later this year (California, Iowa, and Texas). The device is credited with boosting adoptions of the shelter animals, and it's also reported as being used in some children's hospitals, to allow the kids to play with pets remotely. Pretty cool
