Magazine Pages as Substrate?
Hello all,
Couldn't find any information but are magazine pages ok to use as substrate? We have a ton of magazines here and its either going in the trash or going into the BP cages.
Thanks,

Re: Magazine Pages as Substrate?
I personally don't like using glossy, high ink paper. I use newspaper, but skip the advertisements/coupon stuff because alot of times it's not on regular newsprint...don't know if it matters...just the way I do it...

I wouldn't use it either. I'm not sure if it's bad or not though.

I would say to not use magazine pages as substrate because when it gets wet, it might bleed ink even more than newspaper does and that will only stain your snake's belly.

I feel like it wouldn't absorb anything. Even newspaper doesn't absorb great but it's definitely better than the glossy paper. I wouldn't personally. Have a magazine fire!

Honestly try in with one and find out. Last time I dumped a drink on a mag it DID NOT bleed.
