Hardest thing to have to do, but the responsible thing to do
I am really heavy hearted. I will have to eventually part with my two male normals. My boyfriend and I are looking to rent a house, this is our only option right now. We have checked out several places and they do not allow reptiles of any kind, especially not snakes. I will have to find my beloved boys a new home eventually. This is tearing me up inside. I have become so attached to them. I already have a home lined up for them. They are going to a friend that has snakes of his own and they will have a great life. I will be able to visit any time I like. I for one will not be trying to sneak my snakes into a situation that clearly forbids their presence. I am doing what I know is the right thing to do for all of us.

Sucks to lose them, but good on you for not being a person who violates a law or the terms of a lease and makes us all look bad in the process. Eventually your living situation will change again, and hopefully then you can either reclaim your two snakes or acquire new ones.
Mountain bikes are for slow people, and reptiles are far better pets than cats & dogs!

My property management company doesn't know that I have snakes. They wouldn't care if I got an 8"X8" exo terra with a tree frog, so I'll assume that they wouldn't care about a rack with some snakes. I paid a $500 for my two dogs and if I get any other pets that require a deposit then I will let them know and pay any additional deposit that is required. Nothing in my lease prohibits and specific animal, if yours does then you are right to find them another home.

I'm so sorry you're losing your beloved normals. Like most folks here, I disagree with the rules so many landlords have in place against reptiles (I'll tell you now, my snakes have an INCREDIBLY smaller damage potential than my dog or my cats!!) but I'm also one of those "Okay, these are the rules and I have to follow them" types. Doesn't mean I won't be sad or think it's unfair, but I guess I'd rather deal with that than the unknown fallout from bucking the system
So... yeah. I understand.
