New addition came in at 72 degress body temp. will he be okay?
I just got my BEL in from Mike Willbanks and the poor little guy was in a very large box with only two packs down in the bottom. The temp inside the box was high sixties to low seventies and his body temp was 72. I let them know that it was going to be cold here, about 34 and I was assured that there would be plenty of heat for him but that was not the case. My question is, do you think he will be alright? I put him right into the enclosure I have set up for him so he could get started warming up and I don't plan to disturb him for at least a week other than to change water and offer food on Sunday. Thanks for any feedback.

Yeah, 72 is not a big deal. They are probably kept at about that temperature all through reptile shows.

Thanks, I just had to deal with a RI with my normal and I was worried that coming in that cold might set things off in a bad way! Thanks for calming my concern!

I get mine that low and keep them there for breeding.. He'll be fine a few hours like that and then back on the heat wont bother him.. Congrats on the new pick up too Aren't BEL's awesome
