    Business Name

My English isn't probably one of the greatest so I thought I'd post my question here. it here. I'm trying to come up with a business name and I'm not sure if I should use "reptile" or "reptiles?" I see that there are breeders using both. I thought reptile covers all groups? Thoughts?

Since no one answered your question yet, I thought I'd give it a try. I do not know what context "reptile" would be used in a business name. Most people would say "reptiles". Such as in "Ben Seigel Reptiles" or "Kaleidoscope Reptiles".

In a business name or title, you would not say "Ben Seigel Reptile" because, even though "reptile" does cover the animal group as a whole, it does not convey a title or a sense of ownership like you would use in a business name.

Hope this helps you. What name are you considering??

It has to do with being the subject of the name or an adjective.

Reptile Addicts = The subject of the name is Addicts while Reptile is used to describe the Addict.

Johns Reptiles = The subject is the reptiles while Johns is in reference describing the reptiles as belonging to John.
