Whoa on the cap locks there, your hurting my ears, LOL

We breed males at 8 to 10 weeks old and females at about 10 to 12 weeks old.
We don't weight them, so I can't give you a weight, sorry.

I wait until females are at least 250 grams. I don't have a starting weight for males.

I hold a couple of girls back all the time and wont put them in rotation till they are at least 8 weeks old and that's only if one of my breeders dies off. Males get to go whenever I lose a male.

    Re: Rat breeding questions!! Help!

I try to wait until the hit 200-250 grams but that does not always happen had a litter the other day form a 12 week old hold back. It was bot planned I think one of her brohters got busy with her when I had them all in the same tub due to a water spill.

Must be new to forums too ....not having the caps on would really make it easier to read.

I do not go by age I go by weight for females, I start putting them in rotation at 200/250 grams.

Males I just eyeball it and place them with females similar in size.

What works well to fatten them up? I have a few females hovering a little below 250 and they're 12-15 weeks old. I feed Mazuri 6F only right now.

I feed a mix of mazuri dog food and sunflower seeds.

I would think sunflowers would fatten them up nicely.
