    Video Editing Software

I am looking for recommendations for $100 or less video editing software for Windows 7 that can handle picture-in-picture edits easily. None of the free ones can do it without jumping through some major hoops. I am researching on my own but certainly would take anybody's experience here into account as well.

    Thanks.

Look into Pinnical Avid Studio or Studio Delux

Right at your price limit, very functional, not too big of a learning leap and can do a lot of advanced video work including transitions and PinP.

I used this for a few years when I did video work semi-professionaly for a fairly large church. Now I do video editing for my cousin over at "TopShotDustin" for his promotional clips and sponsor videos. IF I was still relying on a windows platform I would still be using this software as it did everything I needed. However, with my macbook pro and mac desektops, I use iMovie for extremely low complexity edits, and I use Final Cut Pro X for major editing including PinP, overlays, and so forth. This is a VERY powerful program but will require a mac computer.

Have an iPad? May want to look into iMovie app on the ipad. Not sure of the entire functionality of it, but it may do what you need for a lot lower cost.

Example of a timeline overlay PinP that can be done without much thought or trouble in Final Cut -
