All pastels will have a tiny bit of brown because it happens to be part of their coloration. What we are looking for is adults that have held their yellow color to adulthood. I've seen some pastels so browned out they look like super blushed normals. But the yellow color just wasn't there.
I think the point of this thread is to show that not all pastels are created equal, whether imported or not if its compatible with other pastel genes then it is a pastel.
There will always be a little browning.. its up to us to breed for a high yellow pastel that holds its color, not picking up the cheapest one just to have a clutch of brown bees.
