Egg tub question...
I'll start with letting you know I have read Heather's tutorial and I've got that down. I'll be using a light diffuser in my egg tub, so I'm going to add more water than a simple 1:1 ratio.
Here are my questions: how thick should my substrate be? I'll be using 6qt tubs. I also have a 12qt tub on standby if I need it. Also, how much additional water should I add?
I just finished my incubator this afternoon so I'm trying to put together a test tub to see how it does over the next few months.

do you do 250g of water? How much additional (if you use a light diffuser)?
Also...how often do you add water? Just when the humidity is down?
