Incredible Pets Inc.
Has any done business with this store? I'm thinking of getting a bp from them. I called the store and tried to get transfered to pets but know one could be found so I talked to a fish guy who didn't seem to know anything about snakes.

There is an Incredible Pet's in Melbourne, FL, but it sounds like a common name and I don't know if it is the same establishment you are speaking of?
I have seen them at local shows in FL and I bought a snake from one of their employees. Snake was clean and healthy, ate good, etc....
I think the owners name is Pete? If it's the same establishment, I would not hesitate to deal with them.

I've been in the store many many times. I have purchased feeders from them a few different times, when my local shops did not have the size I needed. Personally, I would not buy a snake from them. Their in-house snakes look healthy, but I've seen on multiple occasions cages with multiple hatchlings that look to have not had their first shed, let alone their first meal.
I understand pet stores house multiple animals together frequently, but I generally don't like to see more than 3 per cage. Their adult normals (last time i was in) had around 10-12 in one enclosure. It was hard to get a head count, but I know I got to 8 with more being hidden under the pile.
Their prices are incredibly high in store. They had desert spider for a long time priced at around 1300 if I remember correct.
I've witnessed severely deformed baby beardies there. They were not there a few weeks later, so I assume they passed out were culled.

I'm not trying to say that the owners are bad, or their animals are bad. Just that I would rather buy my snakes elsewhere. If you're in love with the snake and happy with the price, I don't think they would screw you over.

I wouldn't buy anything from a pet store who didn't have any employee there (or know when one would be there) that could answer my questions beyond reading the "care" stickers on the front of the tank. Why would anyone, when there are so many good breeders on sites like this, with quality animals and a wealth of experience and knowledge?

I'm sure whatever they bring to the shows must not be kept in the store?? I've never stepped foot in the store..... just seen them at shows and bought one snake from one of their employees. That's the extent of my experience with them.

Like I said, the snakes looked healthy. I wasn't trying to say they have unhealthy animals. I prefer not to do business with folks to who sell hatchlings who haven't fed yet, without disclosing that. (I asked one of the employees if they are good to go and eating, they said yes, I asked if they had shed, that they looked rather young, they said oh yes, many times. These were the fresh hatch, still in that shiney out of egg skin) I'm sure this is just lack of experience on the side of the employees, not the actual breeder.
I've yet to be able to get ahold of the breeder/owner for questioning, and the employees are practically worthless for questions. This is why I would not buy from them, and much rather buy my snakes from breeders who actually deal with their customers, or at least have knowledgeable staff to do so.
