    Showing off my frilly :D

Ok so I walked in on our littleFred, and for the first time, I caught her frilling!! I'm not sure why she was frilling, but I think it may have been her reflection. I know she likes to jump at the glass sometimes lol. Anywho, I grabbed my camera and figured I'd show off
    I love this little guy

    Frills from behind

    Look at those chompers!!!

And one last one of Fred posing like a sir:

    Enjoy!

So cool what do you keep him in? I don't suppose the 44 breeder I have opening up once my rat rack is built is too small?

Thanks! Right now we have her in a 10 gallon, but she is super tiny, maybe 10inches with tail, body length 5 inches if that. I'll try to get a pic next to a dollar bill or something for comparison. A 44 would be alright as a baby or a juvie, but you'd want a bigger setup for an adult. They're arboreal and like to run/ hunt, so they need a lot of room both vertically and horizontally. I want to get another one so I'm thinking of hacking a big 6 ft entertainment center

Oh, and if you guys want some real entertainment, check some vids of adult frilleds on YouTube. Absolutely hysterical!!! They're bipedal runners, and they look goofy as all get out.

Ohmygoodness CUTE! My boyfriend has been wanting to get a frilly for a while now, and they do look hysterical when running (I found the videos of adults going outside for the first time pretty funny too). They're fascinating lizards, thank you for sharing

Are they not the cutest lizards EVER?? I would definitely suggest getting one! She falls asleep in your hand if you scratch under her chin. It's adorable. I want to get a male for myself, since Fred technically belongs to the bf lol. Maybe we'll get into breeding them a few years down the road

    Showing off my frilly :D

Sure! She's still a baby, so a bit flighty still. No biting or anything, she just likes leaping to her various branches lol. Once she calms down, she pretty much just chills on your hand or wherever you stick her In the tank, she has her favorite perches and basks for most of the day (unless she's hunting!). She goes absolutely NUTS for crickets. It's super cute watching her run around the tank trying to catch them. I would definitely snatch one up if you have the opportunity. If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer them (or at least try to!!)
