I have been fortunate enough not to have to deal with mites. However, I do keep some PAM on hand just in case of my new babies comes home with them.

To the OP, buying some PAM (Prevent-A-Mite) is not a bad idea to order and have laying around. Then if you do get a snake with mites, you can treat it pretty quickly and not have to wait around for it to be shipped to your door.

I also have a bottle of that laying around

I swear...if one mite shows up...I'm going to blast them like the atomic bomb on Hiroshima (I make no offense to the Japanese or those of Japanese decent).

I treat the enclosures of all new additions with PAM, whether I see mites or not. Why wait for an outbreak, when prepping the tub only takes an extra 10 seconds of my time?

Is that the stuff on RB? I asked about it on one "mite" thread but nobody responded to my question of whether or not it worked well. According to the page it works great, but they all say that
2.0 Red Tail Boa (BCC) - Neil, Hermes (Suriname)
0.1 Normal Ball - Moonlight (RIP)
    1.0 BEL (lesser x mojave)
    0.1 Pinstripe - Starlight
    1.1 Dogs - Champ, Megan

It works fine. I don't use it on cages though too often. I mainly use PAM as preventative for MITES and when I had my one and only outbreak I used both. With Reptile Relief for the snake that was infected himself, and PAM for the QT area.

Yes it is. I get mine from my local pet store or petsmart. I do treat all incoming snakes with it too. One go round with them was enough for me. I also go straight to the shower now when I get home from an expo.
