Your picky eaters and your pigs

I currently have just 1 normal male bp and he is a beast. Since i got him about 9 months ago he has never rejected his weekly saturday lunch. Even in full shed he ate. But im getting a mojave male and a spider male on friday. Im just hoping they are good feeders too. So that got me wondering, in your collections who are your picky eaters and who are your pigs?

My little piggy vacuum cleaners are corn snakes. Nothing beats a colubrid when it comes to appetite! There's no such thing as a leftover at my house

If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

Re: Your picky eaters and your pigs

As for bp's my pastel girl will eat anything any time. My sable girl will eat leftover live. My het pied girl is a pain to feed. Live only about half the size of what she should eat and only if she decides she's in the mood. Early 2010 model and just broke 1100 grams this month. My male dumerils only eats after a pooh which is about every 3 weeks. My hypo Arab boa girl would eat everytime I walk in the room if I'd let her. Lol

I'm going to try feeding my new normal boy tonight, so I'll find out about him, but so far all three of my other balls are great eaters. The only "trouble" I have had was when the mojave was in shed. He wanted to eat, but couldn't see so wouldn't eat. Went 10 days without eating, when he's used to a 6 or 7 day feeding schedule. Once he shed, he ate like a monster.

My rosy boas are pigs too. One has never refused a meal (except when in shed). The other WAS a picky feeder, up until his little escape adventure. We found him UNDER our house. Since then he's eaten every meal offered him. Guess he decided it was better to be a captive snake hand fed meals in a nice warm tank than to be a wild snake who has to fend for himself and deal with the cold!
Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

I feed my normal in the same seperate tub and have done for 4 months. At first she would be trying to get out of the tub...
Now, she sits there, looks at me, neck rolled in, waiting for that rat. Strikes, eats, sits and waits for another. Its bloody brilliant.
