Yea ive played a Wii before. Imo the remote never really worked quite right and it was kinda hard to get it to. The controllers also just feel awkward in my hands. And the graphics on all the wii games i played looked like baby graphics compared to ps3 and 360 stuff.
Hey, I agree N64 had some of the best games of all time, but wouldn't you want a NEW mario kart? a NEW mario party? WiiU has AMAZING graphics compared to the original Wii. But the Wii wasn't about graphics, it was about playing with your body. Controlling the game with actual motion. It encouraged people to play together and to get off the couch. I never had a problem with the wii remote. Maybe you were playing with the old wiimotes that lacked wiimotion plus.

All I am saying is, don't brush it off just because it isn't the original N64. Nothing will ever be like that. I like where nintendo is going. They are opening up gaming to a whole different level and allowing 3rd party developers to create really thoughtful games for their consoles.

I'm sick of shooters. I'm sick of static gaming. Be open to new things! I swear, you will have fun!

I think this is where a lot of people are confused. The Wii and the Wii U are two completely different consoles. It is backwards compatable, but does emulate the old Wii in order to play old games.
