I use the small mixing tubs from lowes. they seem a little sturdier then the ones at home depot. your ambient temps are fine for rats no need for the flexwatt.

Awesome to hear on the flexwatt approximately what size are they and cost I found these http://www.foodservicewarehouse.com/...b/p364331.aspx and was considering them seeing as my current tubs are only about 4 or 5 in deep and after the aspen bedding they only have about 3 in of head clearance.

Automatic watering system with it only being a 6 shelf rack would it be beneficial or just more of a hassle to clean out once a week?

if i remember right they were around $6 and are 24x27x6.5. i just use the quart water bottles. but lot's of others use the watering systems. the quart bottles last 2 or 3 days between changing so that's fine by me. the tubs in the link you posted would work but they are a good bit smaller then the mixing tubs.

They're over with the cement, etc. in Lumber and Building Materials.

    It's for mixing cement.
