Homemade incubaters help

I made a homemade incubator out of 3/4 pvc board with a 1/4 inch plexiglass window on the door and sealed it up would lining the inside with thin styrofoam be good to hold in heat and humidity I have flexwatt and a helix on it and a computer fan on the inside for air circulation on top shelf how does this sound its my first nice incubator want to make sure its done right???

My suggestions would be styrofoam out side not inside. You will want to clean the incubator at the end of the season and styrofoam is hard to clean completely. If I were designing one to build from the ground up I might look at a stress skin type construction. Yes it will cost more.

Your PVC board inside foam board bonded to this and 1/8 inch plywood (not particle type board shown in web page) on the outside. It is rigid and great insulation and light. You can save cost in using thinner materials you might even be able to get away with using 1/8 or less pvc that is much less than 3/4 which is exceptionally expensive.

I don't know if you have a sign shop by you and the panels are a touch odd to deal with but this product would IMO make a killer incubator.

I have used some of their panels in the past it is seriously awesome super easy to clean holds heat well and distributes it well too and is unbelievably stiff and tough.
