    Depends on what locale he is - he may be naturally huffy. But given a few months with non-stressful handling he should calm down. Bluetongueskinks.net has a lot of helpful posts on taming down stressed blueys. Once they're in a good environment they'll become less stressed and more easily handled. Some bts are just huffy though, especially wc ones bought from pet stores.
