Help me figure out my rack temperatures please

84 hot end and 73 cool end. I just got a temp gun today and found my hottest surface temp to be 87. My thermostat is set at 89 on the heat tape. My room temps are about 67. Not much I can do about my room temps until my living arangments change. I'm going to raise my thermostat to 92 and see what that does in my boaphile ballroom rack. Any advice on this?

I have my t-stat set right around 95* on my Ballroom Rack. That keeps my hot end right around 88-90 depending where you point the gun.

The cool end won't go up much if any because of your cooler temps in the room.

The temps at the warm end will also depend on your substrate and how thick it is.

I use paper towels. The surface temps of my snakes are 76. I'm going to raise my herpstat 2 up to 95.

Do you have both strips plugged in?
I'm guessing you do.

Yes I do. I also haven't put any holes on the tubs either.

Same here, no holes in that rack.

I do use wood chips but my room is about 76-77*
