Well, I may not be qualified to say this, but no one else was saying anything. I think if your snake will eat f/t you should definitely go with it because it is safer for your snake, and more humane for the rat, IMO. Who wants to get squeezed to death? I recommend buying from a good supplier though, or pre-killing your own rats. I have been getting the ones from pet stores, and they're no good at all. They're overpriced and bad quality. I live in Oklahoma and there's really just no good place to get feeders here. IMO quality f/t rats should be pretty dry and smell-free when thawed. The problem is, I only have one snake, and it's a waste to buy rodents online just for him, as he's still growing and would outgrow them before he ate a whole package, and the shipping cost is so outrageous that you have to buy a lot for it to be worth it. So, if your snake takes them, and you have a good supplier, go for it.
