The importance of understanding spin and propaganda:
As of August 2011 (7 months into the 112th congress) over 4200 congressional bills had been proposed.
As of the end of the 112th congress a short while ago, only 219 had been passed.
Now a bill that is defeated by a vote is something to discuss. However when the overwhelming number of bills naturally die, is that something worth runnning your yap about?
Many of these dead bill just get reintroduced the folllowing session. Remember this when someone tries to celebrate the expiration of a proposed bill.
