I'm sure you have all seen this before..
Its a 8x20" out of acrylic from menards.. Used "plastruct" to bond it together and it worked great.. Melted some holes in it for air and it's ready to go.. However I used fairly thin acrylic .100" and it seems a little "flimsy" on the long sides..
Solution putting a trim on it to hide ugly/imperfect corners.. So I picked up some aluminum right angle bar.. Cut to size to put a nice shiny trim on it..
However I cant seem to find or figure out a way to bond the aluminum to the acrylic without it behind to visable
Started with the plastruct, didn't adhere to the alum. Tried Elmer's version of gorilla glue as well as gorilla glue.. Still not very strong... And pops off while handling. Tried go2 glue from loctitee and it's the best thing I've found yet and it dries clear however the bond still isn't the best.. Going to dremel the alum to scuff it up and sand the acrylic to see if it helps but if anyone has a bonding agent that wont require aanding that would b great. Sorry for the Long read on a basic question
