Stuck shed

My 130g lesser shed but didn't come clean on his head. Gonna replace aspen with paper towels for a bit what else can I do to get it off?

happens all the time, I wouldnt worry about replacing the substrate. We just use a tub of water over a heating mat and soak them for a bit. Will take off that skin every time.

make sure humidity is up in the enclosure. Make sure to mist often when in shed.

if they have problems shedding, try raising the humidity. never soak your snake while they're in shed. after is ok. when soaking the water level should be low enough so the snake isn't trying to swim. about half way up their side of their body is fine. never use a wet pillow case to put them in, as I seen this suggested before. most are head shy and takes some time getting it off. may need more than one soak. don't let the water get too cold with time. luke warm only. good luck don

If it's only a little on his head, just leave it alone. Paper towels will actually leach moisture out of the air (relative to aspen), so will further reduce the humidity. The spot will come off with the next shed, as long as you correct his humidity. IMO, it isn't worth the stress to the snake to remove a small patch of shed, when it is only the keeper whom it bothers.
