new normal female with a very pink belly

the girl i just got this unsexed adult normal ball from said she was getting ready to shed, she doesnt really look like it to me.... but i could be wrong.
her belly and body scales look a little shriveled, but part of me thinks its either shed or lack of previous humidity....
her belly has been quite pink for about three days now
i have her in a tub with a tstat controlling the uth, before she was in a fishtank with heat lamps.
i havent kept a ball python before but i am worries it could be first signs of scale rot or burns....
any info is a big help.

Could you post a picture of her belly? Without out actually seeing it we can only guess what is wrong.

Here is how to post pictures: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...with-pictures)

Can you give us more details on your cage?

    Size/type
    heat source
    thermostat
    thermostat probe location
thermometers? if so what type and where are they located
    Current cage temperatures/humidity
    substrate

It could just be pre-shed pink belly but it also could be a burn. I just want to rule out the possibility.

Are you saying it looks more pink in person?
Seems really dark for a pre-shed pink.

How was she kept before you got her - what conditions? Was her belly pink like that when you acquired her? Did the previous owner use a heat rock, possibly?

Some BP's turn pinker than others but I agree that it is a bit extreme looking.

Looks like a shed pink to me.. I was worried about my male when his belly was pink for a few days but then he went into blue. It looks like the darker pink area could be because of shadow / positioning. The rest of the belly looks like a shed pink for sure

Can I also see a picture of the top, in good light?? If its a shed she should start to look a bit dull, even before the "blue" phase.
